This is the class for you if...

  • Your preschooler has energy to burn and nowhere to put it.
  • They're a little shy about new places, and you want somewhere patient to start.
  • You'd like them moving and making friends once a week, with a coach who knows that 3 and 4 year olds do not stand in lines.

What the 45 minutes actually look like

This is usually the first class where you watch from the side instead of standing on the mat. Most kiddos are fine with that by week two. Some take longer, and that's fine too.

Forty-five minutes split into stations: tumbling on the soft mats, balance on the low beam, hanging and swinging on the bar, and games that teach body awareness without anyone noticing they're learning.

Classes are 8 to 10 kids, so your child actually gets noticed, and gets a turn.

Questions parents ask about Guppies

My 3 year old has never been away from me in a class. Will they be okay?

That's most of the Guppies on their first day. The coaches are patient, you're right there watching, and a kiddo who needs to come sit with you for a minute can.

Which class time should we pick?

Whichever one you can make most weeks. Classes meet once a week, and if you miss one you can make it up in another Guppies class that week if there's room.

Is there a boys-only option at this age?

Yes. Reef Riders is our boys-only class for ages 3 to 6, Tuesdays at 5:00.

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Your child's first class is on us, no strings. Click Book a Free First Class, tell us about your kiddo, and Coach Melana will call you to find the right class and day.

What happens after I book?

Coach Melana calls you at the time you picked. She'll ask a little about your child, check which class has room, and get your kiddo's first class on the calendar. The time slot you pick online is for that phone call, not the class itself.

What if we miss a class?

You can make it up in another class in the same age group that week if there's room. As classes and openings are limited, we recommend you do your best to make it to your reserved class.

Do you take Step Up For Students?

Yes. Shark Bite Gymnastics is a registered Step Up For Students provider. Step Up only bills monthly, so Step Up families pay $129 a month instead of $120 every 4 weeks for the weekly classes. Sensory Fins and Mighty Sharks take Step Up too and are priced separately. Tell us you're using Step Up when you book and we'll set it up.
