This is the class for you if...
- Your kindergartner or first grader wants to do "real" gymnastics now.
- They tried a team sport and hated how serious it got, or how loud.
- They're a little behind on coordination and you don't want them feeling bad about it.
What the 45 minutes actually look like
Every class has three parts: strength and mobility, skill development, and all-out fun. At this age the skills get real: forward and backward rolls, handstands against the mat, cartwheels, beam walks, swings on the bar.
Nobody is competing with anybody. A kiddo who gets their first cartwheel in week six is celebrated exactly like the one who got it in week one.
Classes are 8 to 10 kids with a coach who knows every name.

Questions parents ask about Pups
My child is 5 but small for their age. Pups or Guppies?
Come try Pups first. The classes are about what your child is ready for, not the number on the birthday cake, and we'll tell you straight if the other class would be a better fit.
Do you do competitions or a team?
No, and we don't plan to. Recreational is the whole point.
What happens when they turn 7?
They move up to Sharks, our class for ages 7 to 9. Same coaches, bigger skills, a full hour.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. Your child's first class is on us, no strings. Click Book a Free First Class, tell us about your kiddo, and Coach Melana will call you to find the right class and day.
What happens after I book?
Coach Melana calls you at the time you picked. She'll ask a little about your child, check which class has room, and get your kiddo's first class on the calendar. The time slot you pick online is for that phone call, not the class itself.
What if we miss a class?
You can make it up in another class in the same age group that week if there's room. As classes and openings are limited, we recommend you do your best to make it to your reserved class.
Do you take Step Up For Students?
Yes. Shark Bite Gymnastics is a registered Step Up For Students provider. Step Up only bills monthly, so Step Up families pay $129 a month instead of $120 every 4 weeks for the weekly classes. Sensory Fins and Mighty Sharks take Step Up too and are priced separately. Tell us you're using Step Up when you book and we'll set it up.
